It’s getting cold out there! Heat up with a nice game (or two or three) of Euchre and some Irish Coffee.
The Euchre Club will meet on Sunday, October 24th at 6:00 pm at The Grafton. We will likely be in the back room.
4530 N. Lincoln Ave.
Chicago, IL 60625
There is a meter lot across the street, but there is also plenty of metered street parking on Lincoln (sadly, you now have to feed the meters on Sunday). Free parking is available on side streets and on Lincoln between Montrose and Sunnyside. If you’re coming via public transportation, the closest stop is Western on the Brown Line. Euchre Club starts at 6:00 PM, and remember to buy lots of food and drink!
On November 28, Feast will be enjoying the cuisine of Spain at Cafe Iberico located at 739 N. LaSalle Street. We will be meeting at 6:30 pm.
- Paid Lot, Street Parking Difficult, and Valet. Valet not available Sunday afternoon. Valet Parking: Lunch & Dinner.
- Public Transportation:
- CTA Bus: 66 Chicago, 156 LaSalle. Red Line Train: Chicago Stop.
The next Phandemonium Book Club will be at Windycon 37 (November 12-14, 2010).
Traditionally, the next book after the WorldCon is the winner of the Hugo Award for Best Novel. This year it was a tie, so we’ll be reading both books. The winners were “The City & The City” by China Mieville and “The Windup Girl” by Paolo Bacigalupi.
The exact times and locations of the book club meetings are still TBD. We’ll keep you posted.
