Frequently Asked Questions
How soon do I need to book my room?
Our discounted room block closes at 11:59pm CST on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026. You’ll need to book before then to receive our discounted room rate. We highly recommend booking sooner rather than later to ensure you get the room you desire at the best possible rate.
The room type I’m looking for doesn’t show up on the booking website. Can I still get the room I’m looking for?
If your desired room isn’t showing up on the booking site, we may be able to help! Reach out to us at hotel@capricon.org, and we’ll connect with the Marriott on your behalf to help secure the room that’s just right for your Capricon adventure!
What should I do if the dates I’m looking for don’t seem to be available?
Need a room for specific dates that aren’t showing up on the booking site? Whether you’re looking for extra nights before, after, or during the convention, consider us your booking co-pilots! Just email us at hotel@capricon.org, and we’ll reach out to the Marriott to help secure the dates you’re looking for, so you won’t miss any of the excitement or a chance for sightseeing.
How can I book a party suite?
To book a suite for your festivities, check out the Parties department. We’ll work with the Marriott to find the perfect party space for you, ensuring you have the room you need to entertain your fellow fans and make this year’s Capricon unforgettable!
How can I book a room with ADA features?
Book your discounted room at:
https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1745958609152&key=GRP&guestreslink2=true&app=resvlink.
After entering your Guest Information and Payment Information, you will find a section called Room Requests and Accessibility. Here you will find check boxes for various features such as roll-in tubs and feather free bedding. There is also a box titled “Any special requests or needs?” where you can provide the hotel with any additional details necessary. For additional information about accessibility accommodations, please contact us at accessibility@capricon.org.
What if the venue runs out of ADA parking spots?
In the event that all ADA parking spots are full, the Marriott has agreed to let us use their reserved parking as ADA overflow parking. This reserved parking is located directly across from the ADA parking spots. If you are a guest staying at the hotel, you will need to immediately check in at the front desk to get a parking sign and submit your license plate. If you are not reserving a room at the hotel, your process will be similar, but you’ll need to pay for parking at the front desk at the time of arrival. If you park in the ADA or ADA overflow parking spots and fail to pay for parking or fail to place the Marriott’s parking sign on your vehicle, your vehicle may be towed at your expense.
Can I bring my pets?
Unfortunately, no. Only service animals are allowed at the Marriott Chicago O’Hare. Companion animals are prohibited.
