Music

It’s been said that the two oldest constants in humankind’s existence are the Stars and Music. Capricon 44 aims to celebrate the endurance of both, with concerts, workshops, and circles in Sheraton I & II.

We start things off Friday afternoon with a trio of concerts in Adler’s Planetary Salon (Sheraton I), then after a bit of a break so you can explore the cosmos (or at least food options?) we move next door to Main Stage (Sheraton II) for performances by author, historian, and musician Adam Selzer and Random Fractions.

Saturday afternoon we begin back in our celebrated Salon with a workshop on Songwriting from the Gut, followed by two more concerts there. Saturday evening features the rocketing energy of the Microphone Misfitz on our Main Stage after the always-entertaining Art Auction.

And after the concerts finish on the Main Stage on both Friday and Saturday nights, we’ll move back to the Salon to share one of the most enduring forms of human connection known – open circles, where everyone has a chance to get out their voices and instruments and come together.

Finally, we’ll close out Sunday with Capricon’s long-loved musical Jam, giving everyone a chance to kick in one last time.  See you there!
