25 years ago this didn’t exist.

24 years ago a few insane individuals went off on their own and began the Grand Experiment that is Capricon.

Over the last 24 years
We’ve had amazing conventions,
We’ve had some not-so-amazing conventions,
We had the glory years at the purple hotel,
We had the nomadic years when we were searching for a home.

6 years ago we found that home.

And the Grand Experiment that is Capricon entered a new phase.

Starting with Capricon 19
We began experimenting with the themes,
We began experimenting with specific parts of the convention,
One year was the Art Show,
One year was the Consuite,
And always, always, is the experiment with the dance.

Throughout this whole experiment you have stayed with us.
More than that, you have participated in the experiment yourselves.
You, all of you, have brought more to Capricon than any con-com could ever have.

And it’s in honor of you, who have stayed with us for the last 25 years and participated in the Grand Experiment that is Capricon, that this year we bring you...
