Amy's Picture (from her website)

AMY K. BROWN is a happily married freelance artist and full-time mother living in Washington State. Born in 1970, she has been illustrating since she was old enough to work a pencil, upholding a family tradition going back at least four generations. In addition to numerous private commissions, her art has been published by Tri-Tac Games, Tyranny Games, and Dominion Games, and can also seen at both Elfwood and Epilogue Galleries. She was a founding m ember of the Illuminator's Guildhouse of RPG Artists, and is a current member of the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA).

Her art style favors bold colors, blending high fantasy and modern graphic design, with a special interest in Celtic knotwork, medieval and modern fantasy settings, mythological creatures, esoteric themes, and non-human races. Amy loves to experiment with multi-media presentations, and will often combine traditional and digital paint mediums to achieve the desired results - notably graphite pencil, watercolor and oil pencils, inks (pen and brush), acrylic, and digital painting with her much-loved Wacom tablet.

Amy has a tremendous passion for history, mythology and ancient cultures, and celebrating her Celtic heritage. She is a medieval recreationist with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), as well as a vocalist and percussionist, closet cartoonist, confirmed chocoholic, and owner / webmistress of HeatherWind Designs. She also bakes a mean cappuccino brownie. :)
