{"id":505,"date":"2014-01-27T22:12:44","date_gmt":"2014-01-28T04:12:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/capricon.org\/blog\/?p=505"},"modified":"2014-01-27T22:12:44","modified_gmt":"2014-01-28T04:12:44","slug":"capricon-book-and","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/capricon.org\/blog\/2014\/01\/27\/capricon-book-and\/","title":{"rendered":"Capricon Book and Food Drives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Don\u2019t forget that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.capricon.org\" title=\"Capricon 34\" target=\"_blank\">Capricon<\/a> is conducting a food drive and a book drive throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>\nYou can bring non-perishable foods to the Information Desk and we\u2019ll donate them (as well as any leftover ConSuite food) to local food pantries.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe Info Desk will also be accepting donations of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror novels as part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/science-fiction-outreach.org\/\" title=\"Science Fiction Outreach Project\" target=\"_blank\">Science Fiction Outreach Project<\/a>. These books will be passed out at comic book conventions to promote literacy, and help grow the genre fan base.
