0The University of Chicago is presenting a film series called “You Can’t Handle the Youth: ’80s Classics of John Hughes and Rob Reiner”. On October 3 and 5, they’ll be screening “The Princess Bride”. This also happens to be the book selected for the January 11, 2015 meeting of the Phandemonium Book Club in Evanston.

Phandemonium Book Club Evanston – “Lord of Light”
0The September book club will mark the 10th anniversary of our first meeting in 2004. We’ll be discussing “Lord of Light” by Roger Zelazny. This book won the 1968 Hugo for Best Novel. It was also nominated for a Nebula award.

0Phandemonium now has a second book club. It meets at the Blue Box Cafe in Elgin, a very cool Doctor Who themed cafe.
