Phandemonium Year-Round Activities

Phandemonium is the parent corporation of Capricon.  In addition to Capricon, we have several other events throughout the year in the Chicagoland area to help strengthen and grow our Fannish Community.  All are welcome to join us – even if you’ve never attended a Capricon before!

Book Club

The Book Club has been going strong since July 2004!  We meet bimonthly at the Borders café in Evanston:

In the event of the cafe being really busy, or someone in the club deciding that alcohol is required for discussing that month's book, our alternate location is The Rhythm Room, across the street (2nd floor of the movie theater).

Euchre Club

We love Euchre at Capricon – each year we have not one, but two Euchre Tournaments!  It should come as no surprise, then, that we also have a bimonthly Euchre Club!

FEAST:  Fans Eating All Sorts of Things!

The most recent addition to our Phandemonium Family is FEAST:  Fans Eating All Sorts of Things!  Originally called our Ethnic Dining Club, two fans* were talking, and well, you know how these things go, and suddenly we had a new name for ourselves!

We meet bimonthly at various restaurants around the Chicago area.  You can keep up to date in the Phandemonium Information section of our forums.  We don’t have an email list yet, but will soon!

We’re really excited about our May 2009 outing, which will combine Greek food with going to see Bat Boy – The Musical in Oak Park!  Go to the forums right now and find out details!  You don’t want to miss this!
