Internet Cafe

Need to research facts and figures for your term paper? Use the world wide web because if you can find it there, it must be true. Need to ask mom and dad for more "book money"? Do it with email you won't have to listen to all those pesky questions. Or do you need a good espresso so you can finish studying for that psych final? Then come by the University of Fandom sponsored Internet Cafe.

Our lounge is equipped with both wired and wireless Internet connectivity for your studying and research convenience. Feel free to use your laptop computer or one of our publicly available computers.

Even if you don't need to do research for your doctoral thesis or term paper, stop by and try something from our coffee bar. You can catch a filk performance or read from your latest work at an open mic session. Be sure to check the pocket program for the performance and open mic schedule.

Our lounge will be offering a selection of flavored coffees, espresso, mocha, tea and hot chocolate for those intense studying sessions.

Our wireless networking provides coverage to the Consuite sitting area. To connect your wireless computer to our network, search for our 802.11b with a network ID (SSID) of UFAN and turn your wireless encryption protocol (WEP) off.

The wireless network is not secure. Do not transmit sensitive personal or financial information (i.e. credit card numbers) while connected. Wired connections are available in the lounge for those who need a safer connection.
