Book Club Announcement

The Borders we have met at for the last 6.5 years is one of the ones that is closing. Our March 27 Book Club will meet at Barnes & Noble, 1630 Sherman Avenue, in Evanston at 6:00pm (note earlier than usual start time!). We will discuss options for our new permanent home that evening.
Remember, the book will be “In The Garden of Iden” by Kage Baker.

Thanks to all of you who came out for Capricon this year. It was fun. Hope you can say the same. But… the fun’s not over yet. Beware the Ides of Phandemonium. Come join us for the Ides of Phandemonium Zombie Goat Party at the RAM restaurant in Wheeling, just across from the hotel Tuesday night (2/15) at 7PM. Just because Capricon’s over doesn’t mean Capricon has to end.

Capricon 31 – Progress Report #2

As you may or may not know, at Capricon every year we have a daily newsletter called “Goat Droppings” which we use to give you updates on what’s going on for a given day, what already happened at the convention, interviews with the GoH’s etc. Well over the course of the year we also put out e-editions of Goat Droppings, which are more of a progress report on the planning for Capricon as well as an update on other events being planned by Phandemonium. Well it’s that time again for the Winter 2011, e-edition of Goat Droppings. It has a progress report on the convention, which is just two weeks away now, information about the Capricon Book Drive, Phandemonium Events, and the ever popular Out of CON-text notes.
